Can I get car insurance on a CAT N or S car?

Yes. Most mainstream UK insurers will cover CAT N & S vehicles, though it's always worth disclosing the category when you get a quote — some insurers may apply a small premium adjustment. We're happy to point you toward insurers our customers have had good experiences with.

Can I get finance on one of your cars?

Yes — we can help you get finance through our trusted finance brokers, who are comfortable lending against repaired CAT N & S vehicles, though terms and lender choice can be more limited than for undamaged cars. Speak to us for an indicative quote.

Will a CAT N or S marker affect resale value?

Yes — it's factored into the price you pay from us today, which is exactly why our cars are priced well below an equivalent undamaged example. When you come to sell, expect a similar discount to apply, but you'll have bought at a discount too.

Is an HPI or provenance check included?

Yes. Every car comes with a full HPI/provenance check and complete CAT history disclosure, so you can see exactly what's recorded against the vehicle before you buy.

What warranty do you offer?

Every car includes a minimum 3-month written warranty covering mechanical and electrical faults. Extended warranty options are available at the point of sale — just ask.

Can I see the repair report before I buy?

Absolutely — we consider this essential, not optional. Every car comes with a full written repair report and before, during and after photographs from Beautiful Bodies (Kent) Ltd, our insurance-approved repairer, plus the independent post-repair inspection.

Do you accept part-exchange?

Yes, we accept part-exchange vehicles of any condition, including other CAT N/S or unrepaired write-off cars. Get in touch with your registration and mileage for an indicative valuation. If you're not local to Kent, our transport partner TD Vehicle Solutions can collect your part-exchange and deliver your new car at the same time.

Can I view a car before your Canterbury showroom opens?

Yes — until our showroom opens in Winter 2026, we're offering private viewing appointments by arrangement in the Canterbury area. Contact us to book a convenient time.

Do you offer delivery if I'm not local to Kent?

Yes, our transport partner TD Vehicle Solutions offers fully insured nationwide delivery on all vehicles for a fee based on distance. We're also happy to arrange video walkarounds for buyers who can't view in person.

What are your DIY / as-is cars?

Alongside our fully repaired stock, we sell a range of vehicles unrepaired and as-is — nothing is stripped or removed — at a heavily discounted price, and you fit the parts yourself. We also offer extremely low-cost delivery on these cars, sometimes free within 100km of Canterbury. See our DIY & Trade Cars page for full details.

Do DIY cars come with an MOT or warranty?

No. DIY & Trade cars are sold unrepaired, with no MOT and no warranty, and are very likely not roadworthy until repaired. Full damage disclosure and photos are provided so you know exactly what you're buying.

Can I get finance on a DIY car?

No, DIY & Trade cars are cash/card purchases only, paid by bank transfer or card on collection. Finance is available on our fully repaired stock.

What's the difference between CAT N and S?

In short, CAT N means non-structural damage and CAT S means structural damage that has since been professionally repaired. See our full CAT N vs S explainer for details.

Why were these cars written off if they're not badly damaged?

Insurers write a car off when the estimated repair cost exceeds a set percentage of its market value — a financial calculation, not a safety verdict. Read more on our Why Cars Are Written Off page.
